    Ekta Kapoor’sEk Thi Dayaanteam is in full swing to promote their film at the ongoing Kumbh Mela, though it has been reported that concerned authorities refused to permit them to go on with their campaigning plans, especially on the main bathing days. But the rejection does not seem to affect the team much as they looking forward to reach Lucknow as per scheduled time, from where they are supposed to take off for Allahabad.

    The team of Ekta Kapoor,Emraan HashmiandHuma Qureshiwill be visiting the mela on February 9 and they have also planned to perform ayagyaat Parmarth Niketan. A source informed, "All the three celebs have been invited by the president of Parmarth Niketan Ashram, Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji for amahayagyaon February 9, to calm the negative spirits, if any, associated with the film.”

    After the team takes a holy dip in the river, several musicians and percussionists including Sivamani, will arrive at the venue on February 10. Thereafter, a discussion will be held withthe seers of few ashrams andakhadasand intellectuals of the cityondayaanbeliefs still ruling our society.

    TheAllahabad Commissioner, Devesh Chaturvedi, reacted adversely to the crew’s plans, "If these people want to go to the ashram and do ayagya, they can do that, but we will not be able to provide any security to them. And if there is any security problem, they will be responsible for it and not the administration. We have already conveyed everything officially to the concerned people, therefore we will not allow any promotional activity within the mela area.Koi bhiproblemhui toh utha ke bandkar denge inn logon ko."The film’s publicist fought back by texting to a leading daily,"Citizens of a secular democracy do not need permissions to pray to God. They are coming for a good cause and they don't see a problem with that."
