Ekta Kapoor irked by censor boards diktat on Kyaa Superpromo

It seems that Telly Queen Ekta Kapoor is not in a happy mood these days. The producer, whose next film Kyaa Super Kool Hai Hum is releasing on July 27, is very upset over the censor boards refusal to let her release the original promos of the movie in theatres. She said Anurag Kashyap's Gangs Of Wasseypur also had abusive language but it was released and now so much noise is being made about Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum. Ekta feels this is only because of the existing prejudices in Bollywood. "There's a big difference here. That's Anurag Kashyap - you know how it is. Everything that Balaji (Motion Pictures) does or any mainstream filmmaker does, will always be considered to be cheap and crass," Ekta said, adding, "If Dibakar (Banerjee) would have made this film, it would have a totally different effect. So we always suffer prejudices in Bollywood, and we just fight constantly". The filmmaker wonders when she didnt face any difficulty during the release of first film, why such reactions coming this time. "We never had issues in the film's first part. I think our society was so much cooler at that time. Now suddenly everyone raises a question, everyone asks 15 questions. So we have a sanitised, boring promo in the theatre for the ones who will be seeing Bol Bachchan," she said. The filmmaker says the Tusshar Kapoor and Riteish Deshmukh starrer film is Bollywoods answer to American Pie.
