EYE POPPER: Ranveer to go bald for Bajirao Mastani

Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh has just finished with Zoya Akhtar’s Dil Dhadakne Do. The Gunday star is now gearing up for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s dream project Bajirao Mastani. The romantic tale between Peshwa Baji Rao I and his second wife, Mastani is all set to feature Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra as its lead actresses. Ranveer Singh has apparently been asked to go bald for this project.

“I think the way I plan to prep for Bajirao Mastani and go about things, yes I will be underground for a considerable amount of time. I have finished all my endorsements and commercials. Once I go into this zone, I want to go into the depths of it. I have a physical transformation that I have to do, I have to shave my head bald,” the Lootera actor revealed.

Ranveer added, “I think am going to explore myself as an actor creatively as much as I can with this character. I will definitely be going into a zone and go underground, it will be for a long time but I think it will be worth it. I was chatting with Farhan and he gave me a very inspiring talk about how sometimes you get these opportunities and you have to recognise them. Like he did it with Milkha, he believes and I believe too that Bajirao is my opportunity where for that period of time in your life you have to be about just that one thing. He told me the extents to which he had gone After chatting with Farhan I am definitely inspired and ready to go down that path where as a performer you shut out everything else. Also its very important to get into that mind space I can’t be watching TV and being on Twitter, so I have to disconnect and go into that zone and I will be doing so.”
