His Dangal co-star Sanya Malhotra just spilt beans on the same. During an interview with Mid-Day, the actress revealed about how she along with Fatima Sana Shaikh managed to get hired.

Malhotra told, “In January 2016, we wrapped up the film’s shoot and didn’t have anything to do,” Sanya reminisced. “So, Fatima and I decided to go on an India darshan. That’s when AK [that’s how they address Aamir] asked us if we would want to intern with him. For a moment, we went totally blank, but then nodded at the offer.” Other than this, Fatima and Sanya were also actively contributing in the post production of Secret Superstar and also managed prep work for Thugs of Hindostan.
