Farhan Akhtar is eating food in a jail mess. Here's why

A massive prison set has been created at Film City in Mumbai, for Nikhil Advani’s next film, Lucknow Central, starring actor Farhan Akhtar. As part of the set, the makers have also created a mess, where the prisoners will be shown eating their meals. Farhan, who plays an unconventional role of a prisoner in the film, too, has been eating in the mess in order to get into the skin of his character.

“Farhan eats the food cooked in the mess. He feels that it will help him understand the life of his character in a much better way. Looking at him, the rest of the crew has also started eating in time,” says the spokesperson of the actor.

Farhan is not only taking interest in his character, but also feels responsible for the entire project. “Farhan is very involved in the film and makes sure to reach early on the set. Once he is there, he goes around to ensure everything is in place for that day’s shoot,” adds a source close to the actor.

It was earlier reported that Nikhil wanted to make the set as authentic as possible thus, he hired a team of inmates to do up the jail walls, which now have optimistic thoughts written on them.
