Farhan Akhtar To Pair Up With Deepika Padukone In Bejoy Nambiar’s Next?

Speculations are rife that film maker Bejoy Nambiar has roped in Farhan Akhtar for his upcoming directorial, which is reportedly a remake of Mani Ratnam’s Tamil action-drama Agni Natchathiram. Bejoy has earlier worked with the Bhaag Milkha Bhaag star in a crime thriller, Wazir. Reportedly, the versatile actor will play the main role and also produce the flick.
 

A source close to the director stated, "Bejoy had written the script years ago but the film is taking shape only now. It's his dream project. The initial plan was to start this before the Agni Natchathiram's remake, but the team is yet to zero in on the female lead”.

Revealing about the lead actress in consideration, the source added, “Deepika Padukone is among the actresses who have been approached. The makers are waiting for her to return from the xXx: Return of Xander Cage shoot. Meanwhile, Farhan is set to head to the US to shoot for Nisha Pahuja's upcoming documentary on the girl child so it'll be a while before Bejoy's film goes on the floors”. However, there is no confirmation from Bejoy’s or Farhan’s end yet.

If reports are to be trusted, Bejoy has also approached the Masaan actor Vicky Kaushal and Telugu actor Harshvardhan Rane, who made his Bollywood debut with Sanam Teri Kasam, for the remake.
