An FIR has been registered against Nawazuddin Siddiqui for allegedly assaulting a woman over parking dispute. The FIR has been registered at Versova police station of Mumbai. The Bollywood actor’s manager has however denied of the charges.

The 24-year-old complainant, who resides in the same housing society as the Badlapur actor, is the granddaughter of the chairman of the society. According to her, a person had parked his motorcycle in the society compound, which was opposed by Nawazuddin’s bodyguards. As soon as the woman, who was in the society’s office heard of the commotion, she came to the spot and started to take pictures on her mobile phone. By that time, Nawazuddin had also reached the spot and asked the woman not to photograph the incident. When she refused to do so, Nawaz allegedly pushed her and behaved inappropriately, after which, she called the police.

Assistant commissioner of Police, Arun Chavan, told Hindustan Times, “We registered a case against Nawazuddin under IPC section 354 (assault or criminal force on woman with intent to outrage her modesty) based on the complainant’s version. As of now we have not arrested any person, and are in the process of verifying the facts”. The woman has also alleged that the actor had previously refused to accept the notice relating to complaints of parking space against him as he has been using additional parking space.

Nawazuddin’s manager Anup Pandey however denied of the charges and said, “It is a false case. The case has been registered without investigation. It is a society issue which has been going on for a long time”, adding, “There was an argument, but no hathaa-pai (exchange of physical blows) as claimed in the complaint. We will take the matters up”.
