Neither Kriti Sanon Nor Saiyami Kher But This 2 Film Old Bollywood Actress Will Star In Lucknow Central!

For quite some time now, the team of Farhan Akhtar’s ‘Lucknow Central’ has been searching for a female lead. The movie is being directed by debutant Ranjit Tiwari and initially, Kriti Sanon was being eyed for the role. Because of date issues, Kriti could not be part of the project which lead the team towards Saiyami Kher. Now, according to a leading daily, Diana Penty has been chosen to replace Saiyami.

A source shared, “After the makers roped in Saiyami, they felt that she isn’t best suited for the role either. Hence, they replaced her with Diana Penty”. If Diana is finalized, she will play the role of an NGO worker and the film will also mark the first time Farhan and Diana work together.

Earlier, it was revealed that ‘Lucknow Central’ will be a comedy film. Nikhil Advani, who will be producing the project, shared, “It is a comedy film. The story is set in Lucknow, it has nothing to do with Lucknow”. Ranjit previously worked with Nikhil as his assistant director and now, he will be stepping up to the director’s chair with Nikhil backing him.
