‘Fitoor’ lands into trouble with Rekha’s exit

Abhishek Kapoor’s ‘Fitoor’ suffered a blow with the exit of veteran actress Rekha, who was cast as Miss Havisham in the film. According to sources, the actress was not happy with the way her role was being shaped in the film. The Super Nani actress was replaced by the Haider star Tabu soon after her exit.

Abhishek Kapoor said, "Tabu has given some incredible performances in Maqbool, The Namesake and Haider to name a few. She is an actress who has always accepted challenges and I am honoured to have her in my film". According to the makers, it is a bit tough to reshoot all the portions they shot with Rekha in Kashmir as this will create budget issues for them.

The upcoming romantic drama is based on Charles Dicken’s novel Great Expectations. The movie also features Aditya Roy Kapoor and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles. Produced under UTV Motion Pictures, the flick is set to release in February next year.
