On Friendship day, we take a look at some of these on-screen foes who are pals after pack up.

    Jennifer Winget and Aneri Vajani

They are arch rivals on their show Beyhadh, but Jennifer Winget and Aneri Vajani are buddies off screen. “Whenever we are not shooting, Jennifer and I can be seen chatting and laughing. I like Jennifer’s sincerity towards her work. She looks strict but when you get to know her, she is a lovely human being and a great friend,” says Aneri. In the show, Jennifer plays Maya and Saanjh is the name of Aneri’s character. Maya, who is in love with Arjun (Kushal Tandon), is always trying her best to break the friendship between Saanjh and Arjun.

    Sriti Jha and Leena Jumani

In the show Kumkum Bhagya, Tanu (Leena Jumani) is always plotting against Pragya (Sriti Jha). The reason is Tanu’s love for Abhi (Shabbir Ahluwalia). She also eyes her property. Sarita Joshi and Apara Mehta

They are against each other like a typical saas-bahu on TV in the show Bakula Bua Ka Bhoot. But the mother-in-law Bakula Bua aka Sarita Joshi and the daughter-in-law Rekha alias Apara Mehta are close friends off- screen.”Sarita joshi is a veteran in Gujarati theatre and I have a great relationship with her. I have known her for many years and have immense respect for the kind of person that she is. We have great fun on the set. She has this great sense of humor. We always end up laughing about a lot of things,” says Apara.

    Suchitra Pillai-Malik and Suchitra Pillai

In Ek Shringaar…Swabhimaan, Suchitra Pillai-Malik’s character Sandhya Chauhan has an ulterior motive. She tries her best to destroy the bonding between members in Chauhan family. Though Sandhya shows that she loves and cares for Nirmala Nand Kishore Chauhan, mother of the male leads of the show Karan Singh Chauhan (Samridh Bawa) and Kunal Singh Chauhan (Saahil Uppal), she actually tries to harm her and her family. However, unlike reel life, Suchitra is close to Shweta in real life, “I plot against her (Shweta) and the family. But, we are really thick pals off screen and can manage emotional scenes with each other really well. Though I do planning and plotting to make her life miserable on-screen, it is a different bond off-screen. We chat non-stop when we are not shooting, we play music, eat together and share a great bond. I genuinely love her friendly and honest nature and she is a genuine person who is totally in sync with my madness,” adds Suchitra.
