“Fukrey is about friendship and bromance” says Ritesh Sidhwani

A joyride is in store withFarhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s Fukrey that is releasing today. The film set in Delhi emphasizes friendship of four boysHunny, Dileep Singh, Lali and Zafar, who are Fukras and aspire to take admission in one of thecoolest colleges in the city. The film is all about the tricks and adventures they carry out for the same.

DirectorRitesh unfolds a bit about the movie saying,"Though Fukrey is about friendship and bromance at its core, it has a simple premise. It is a fun film about four boys who are fukras. They need to secure admission in a college, but know that they cannot make it on merit. So, they do some jugaad." The four good-for-nothing boys make plans to earn money and fulfill their dreams but their plans turn bad.

The director has stated that Fukrey is different from its previous releases as this flick picturizes East Delhi unlike his last films likeDil Chahta Hai,Zindagi Na Milegi DobaraandRock On, whereMumbai, Goa or Spain were the prime locations. One more new point as stated byRitesh,"Unlike our previous films, where the protagonists were already friends, in this one, they become friends during the course of the movie."
