HBO is planning to produce not one, not two, not even three, but four spinoffs to their hit fantasy show Game of Thrones.

GoT, as it is fondly known to its fans, is only two months away from premiering its penultimate season 7 on July 16. But HBO wants to keep the momentum going for what is its most popular drama series ever.

They’ve set a team of writers to plot possible spinoffs without assigning them a deadline. According to a press release, HBO says, “There is no set timetable for these projects. We’ll take as much or as little time as the writers need and, as with all our development, we will evaluate what we have when the scripts are in.”

Interestingly, one of the writers involved with this new phase in Westeros stories is none other than George RR Martin, the man behind it all, who is currently writing the sixth novel in the series. The other writers include Max Borenstein (Kong: Skill Island, Fox’s Minority Report), Jane Goldman (Stardust, Kingsman: The Secret Service), Brian Helgeland (42, Legend), and Carly Wray (Mad Men, The Leftovers).
