Genelia Deshmukh: I Am Proud Of Riteish!

Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia tied the knot in 2012 and while the actor is working on making movies, Genelia has decided to take some time off. She is often asked when she might return to Bollywood to which the actress recently replied that she is waiting for an exciting project. Genelia also shared that she is proud of her husband because he is a self-made man.

The duo has been part of four films including ‘Masti’, ‘Lai Bhaari’, ‘Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya’ and ‘Tujhe Meri Kasam’. Recently, the actress was asked what it would be like to work with Riteish again. She was enthusiastic about the prospect and shared that it “would be like a party”. She added, “Riteish has gone through a lot of struggle. His father, Vilasrao Deshmukh, was elected the chief minister of Maharashtra twice. But Riteish chose to pave his own path. He [Vilasrao] was very proud of Riteish, and so am I”.

Talking about her late father-in-law, the Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na actress stated that she sees a lot of him in his three children, Riteish, Dheeraj and Amit. On the work front, Genelia was last seen in ‘Lai Bhaari’ which was released back in 2014. The movie was directed by Nishikant Kamat.
