Gulaab Gang in legal mess

An upcoming flick Gulaab Gang starring Madhuri Dixit and Juhi Chawla in the lead, is in legal trouble just before its release this Friday. Actually, a leader of Gulaabi Gang, Sampat Pal has stood up saying that the makers have made a biopic on her life and they possess no right to practice it.

The officials related to the flick are denying the fact that the film is a biopic and one of the officials claimed that the same has been conveyed a hundred of times, “It is surprising that Sampat has filed this case when in last few months we have said hundreds of times that Gulaab Gang is not based on her story or that of Gulaabi Gang. We would be shortly sharing an official response on this case.” The venture centralizes the struggle of women against the male chauvinistic world. The movie directed and written by Soumik Sen, is financed by Alumbra Entertainment, Anubhav Sinha and Abhinay Deo. Sahara Movie Studios has acquired the distribution rights of the same.
