Half Girlfriend: Shahid Kapoor To Replace Sushant Singh Rajput?

Again a film based on Chetan Bhagat’s novel Half Girlfriend is being made and the grapevine has been abuzz with the casting of the flick, which is to be produced by Ekta Kapoor and directed by Mohit Suri. After Sushant Singh Rajput walked out of the project, Shahid Kapoor, who has been the original choice for the role of Madhav Jha has been approached once again reportedly. Rumours are also rife that Kriti Sanon will play the female lead, replacing Katrina Kaif whose name has been doing the rounds earlier.

DNA quoted a source as saying, “Shahid was to play the Bihari loverboy. Then Shahid’s Shaandaar bombed and the film’s producers went  to Sushant. Unfortunately for them, he had already given away those dates to Dinesh Vijan for his directorial debut”.

“Shahid is now back in the project. It seems the role was destined for him”, the source added.  However, nothing can be said until the deal is signed and an official announcement is made.
