Happy New Year beats PK, will release in 5,000 Chinese screens

Barely a week after it was announced that Aamir Khan’s PK will release in China with over 3,500 prints, Shahrukh’s last year blockbuster Happy New Year too will release in the same region but on more screens.

The Farah Khan directorial will release on 5000 screens in China making it the biggest Indian release in the country. The film will release on February 12 which according to the Chinese calendar is their new year which could help the film build some good numbers. The film is being distributed by Yashraj and they are making sure to make HNY a bigger success overseas.
