Happy New Year continues to rake in figures from overseas

Farah Khan’s Happy New Year on similar patterns of its domestic biz, continued to earn more moolah from its overseas market. The film has made a strong hold on the overseas sector which has resulted in quite a fancy figure. The film has so far collected a whopping 30 crores from the overseas arena.

Much of that part of the collection has come from US and Canada where the HNY team had orchestrated their grand ‘Slam Tour.’ The film has also performed very well in the UK and the overall result has been electrifying. However, the figure is much lesser when compared to Shahrukh’s previous Chennai Express which had garnered almost 40 crores by the end of week 1. Shahrukh is a known brand when it comes pleasing the audience overseas. Almost all of his films perform at a bright rate and soaring speed there, and that’s exactly what the HNY has banked on. The film ended its first week domestic figure at 157 crores, which is huge but not better than Salman Khan’s Kick this year. Let’s wait to find out how long does it continue to rule the box office.
