    ‘Haraamkhor’ To Hit Theatres Soon

    Shlok Sharma’s debut feature film ‘Haraamkhor’ had faced million troubles. Despite of the fact that the first look of the film was out on March 8, 2015, yet it haven’t released up till now. The film stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Shweta Tripathi as leads.

    Regardless of being denied to be released in India, ‘Haraamkhor’ was premiered at 15th annual New York Indian Film Festival (NYIFF) and Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles. For this film, Nawazuddin Siddiqui received the Best Actor award at the New York Indian Film Festival. Better late than never, ‘Haraamkhor’ has been cleared by the Film Certification Appellate Tribunal (FCAT) and has booked a release date for itself. The film will hit the theatres on January 13, 2017.

    Guneet Monga, the producer of the film, on Thursday, December 22, announced that ‘Haraamkhor’ has got a U/A certificate. She wrote, “Harshvardhan Kapoor, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Shweta Tripathi, Shlok Sharma thank you so much…from being banned to U/A! Can’t wait to show to you.” A post on the official Facebook page of Guneet Monga’s production banner Sikhya Entertainment, reads: “Good news! Shlok Sharma’s debut feature ‘Haraamkhor’, starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Shweta Tripathi has finally been cleared by the FCAT in a landmark judgment!” As per rumour mill, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) refused to certify the film as it revolves around a teacher-student romance.
