This Actor To Replace Abhishek Bachchan In Paltan
Veteran filmmaker JP Dutta’s last movie was Umrao Jaan, which released in 2006. And now after a long hiatus of 11 years, the filmmaker is coming back to the silver screen with his next ambitious project ‘Paltan’. Dutta earlier chose Abhishek Bachchan for the film, however, the actor walked out of the project suddenly citing personal issues.
This decision of Jr. Bachchan came as a shock to everyone when the team was in Ladakh to shoot its first schedule. Abhishek’s exit from the film has made people wonder what led him to opt out of the project since they both share a good rapport with each other. Abhishek made his debut in Bollywood Dutta’s ‘Refugee’ in 2000. He also starred in ‘Umrao Jaan’.
After Abhishek left the project, the makers were looking for someone who not only had great screen presence but was also physically fit. And they found Harshvardhan Rane as the perfect fit. Confirming about the same, Nidhi Dutta of JP Films said, "Yes, we have signed Harshvardhan Rane for 'Paltan' but it's too early to divulge anything about the movie or his role."
Harshvardhan Rane made his Bollywood debut last year with ‘Sanam Teri Kasam’ opposite Pakistani actress Mawra Hocane. ‘Paltan’ produced by JP films is slated to release in summer 2018.
