    Haryana Government Makes Special Arrangements For Screening ‘Toilet-Ek Prem Katha’

    Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar starrer ‘Toilet-Ek Prem Katha’ has been receiving a lot of appraisal from audience. The film which is based on the issue of open defecation in rural India released last Friday. And now in a move to ensure cleanliness, the Haryana government issued directions to make special arrangements for screening of the film for all village sarpanches.

    An official spokesman told The Indian Express, “State Development and Panchayats Minister O P Dhankar directed all the district development and panchayat officers to arrange special shows of movie Toilet: Ek Prem Katha for all the village sarpanches in their respective districts.” He further stated that the Haryaan government has taken this decision to make the representatives of Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) aware of cleanliness. It is speculated that ‘Toilet-ek Prem Katha’ is inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyan campaign.

    Within five days of its release, the film has managed to collect over 89.95 crores. Shree Narayan Singh has helmed the film, while Akshay Kumar and Neeraj Pandey have jointly co-produced it. Apart from Akshay and Bhumi, the movie also stars Anupam Kher and Sana Khan in supporting roles.
