Harynvi Is The Taste Of 2016

We have seen Bollywood making films on all kind of subjects, but these days more than a story, it is state-driven. One can take from Kangana Ranaut’s Kusum Sangwan in Tanu Weds Manu Returns or Randeep Hooda’s Laal Rang or even Salman Khan playing a wrestler in an upcoming film, Haryana is talk of the town. “There is a demand for a story to have a certain socio-political environment. My film is based in Haryana because it is the wrestling capital of the country", said Sultan maker Ali Abbas Zafar.

Haryana’s home grown actor Randeep Hooda shared his opinion as well, “Earlier the focus was on Punjab. Then it shifted to UP. Everywhere Bollywood goes they do their subjects to death. And now Haryana is alive and kicking. Let’s hope we don’t do that to death as well".

Euphoria is also surrounded over Nitesh Tiwari’s upcoming flick Dangal, starring Aamir Khan who will be seen depicting Haryanvi wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat. Director said that Phogat is quite happy and proud that his successful career has been turned into a film. The wrestler added the world will now know that Haryana also exist in Hindustan.
