‘Haseena Parkar’ Release Date Pushed To September 22, Will Clash With Sanjay Dutt’s ‘Bhoomi’ Now
Ever since the trailer of Shraddha Kapoor ’s upcoming film ‘Haseena Parkar’ released, fans’ excitement to see the actress as ‘Aapa’ of Mumbai has increased. Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, the flick was supposed to release on August 18. But, now fans you have to wait for some more time to watch it as the film’s release date has been pushed to September 22.
The makers have shifted the date as they did not want it to clash with ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’, which is also releasing on August 18. But it seems that the film cannot get a solo release. Now the movie would have to fight with Sanjay Dutt starrer ‘Bhoomi’ as it is also releasing on the same date.
Taran Adarsh tweeted, “#HaseenaParkar to release on 22 Sept 2017… Directed by Apoorva Lakhia… Stars Shraddha Kapoor, Siddhanth Kapoor and Ankur Bhatia.” Speaking to indianexpres.com, Apoorva Lakhia said, “There was too much clutter at the box office and we as a team decided to give it the best exhibition as we feel we have made a good product. Hence, we decided to push it further.”
While ‘Haseena Parker’ is about Dawood Ibrahim’s sister, Haseena Parker, who was known as ‘The Queen of Mumbai’, the story of ‘Bhoomi’ revolves around the relationship between a father and a daughter. ‘Bhoomi’ will have Sanjay Dutt playing a father to Adiiti Rao Hydari. People are not only waiting for ‘Haseena Parker’ but also for ‘Bhoomi’ as it will mark a comeback of Sanjay Dutt on the silver screen ever since he has been released from jail.
