Hema Malini’s ‘Ek Thi Rani Aisi Bhi’ Made Tax-free In Chhattisgarh

Gul Bahar Singh’s movie ‘Ek Thi Rani Aisi Bhi’ is a historical drama based on Mridula Sinha's biography of Vijaya Raje Scindia, the former Rajmata of Gwalior. The movie features Indian MP and actress Hema Malini who will be seen portraying Scindia. The flick released today.

The recent we hear about the movie is that the Chhattisgarh government has decided to make the movie tax-free in the state. An official statement said, “The commercial tax department issued the notification in this regard here from Mantralaya”. The movie will depict the struggles of Scindia's life coupled with Indian independence and history of states.

The veteran actress-turned-politician Hema states that the flick will send across a very strong message for women. “There are several messages (for women in the film), for instance what all you can do being a woman. The film also puts spotlight on what all she did for women”, the 68-year-old actress has stated.

On a related note, the movie will also feature Vinod Khanna.
