Recently, National Award winning actress Kangana Ranaut was bestowed with the ‘Woman of The Year’ title. Well, considering her immense contribution to the Hindi cinema, there is no denying that the Gangster actress deserved the label. But, now we hear that the award was originally meant to be conferred on global icon Priyanka Chopra.

Yes! If recent reports are to be relied upon, Kangana wasn't the initial choice of ‘Woman of The Year’ award. Reportedly, an insider recently revealed to a popular daily that the organisers had first decided to give the award to Priyanka who was totally worthy of receiving the title this year. However, when contacted, the Bajirao Mastani actress informed the organizers that she won’t be in India at the time of the event as she will be occupied with the shooting of her American television series ‘Quantico’. It was then when the organisers began shortlisting other actresses and Kangana was selected as the final choice.

It goes without saying that both Priyanka and Kangana are achievers. They have given commendable performances in their respective acting careers hitherto. The two have shared screen space in ‘Krrish 3’ and ‘Fashion’.
