Here’s What Ekta Kapoor Has To Say About ‘Kedarnath’ And Its Lead Cast

After much speculations regarding Sara Ali Khan’s Bollywood debut, she is finally making her debut opposite Sushant Singh Rajput in ‘Kedarnath’. The film which is touted to be a romantic drama is helmed by Abhishek Kapoor. Ekta Kapoor and the new enterprising producer duo Prernaa Arora and Arjun Kapoor of KriArj Entertainment have produced the film.

Talking about the film, Ekta said, “When we heard the story, we knew this was it. It’s Sara’s debut opposite Sushant. That makes it a fresh pair and adds an edge to the project. ‘Kedarnath’ is emotional, yet the riveting story that blends India’s beauty with a love story from the heartland.”

Rumours about Sara’s Bollywood debut have making rounds for quite some time now. After Karan Johar announced of making a sequel of Student Of The Year, Sara’s frequent meetings with the filmmaker led everyone to speculate that she would be making her debut with Student Of The Year 2. However, later it was reported that she is not a part of the film as mom Amrita wants to her make her debut individually as SOTY 2 would feature two ladies.

Later, it was rumoured that she would make her debut with Karan Malhotra’s upcoming movie with Hrithik Roshan to be produced by Salman Khan which would also feature Salman’s brother-in-law Aayush Sharma. But then we did not hear any updates about the film. We hope that Sara is able to impress everyone with her performance given that she has acting genes.
