Here’s Why Pakistani Actor Adnan Siddiqui Should Thank Jhanvi Kapoor

Actress Sridevi has proved her mettle in the entertainment industry after being in it for over 45 years. The actress, who was last seen in English Vinglish, will be next seen in Mom after a gap of five years. Helmed by Ravi Udyawar, the film will be bankrolled by Boney Kapoor, Sunil Manchanda, Mukesh Talreja, Naresh Agarwal and Gautam Jain.

As Sridevi is playing the female lead in the film, you will be surprised to know who suggested the name of male protagonist for the flick. Reportedly, Boney’s daughter Jhanvi Kapoor saw Michael Winterbottom’s critically acclaimed film, A Mighty Heart (2007) and was impressed with Pakistani actor Adnan Siddiqui and therefore suggested his name, which Boney agreed to. After a look test, the actor was taken on board. So, should Adnan thank Jhanvi for grabbing the role?

As per a source, “Boney was considering other options but Jhanvi, who has followed Adnan’s work in Pakistani cinema extensively, showed her dad A Mighty Heart and made sure he agreed to do a look test. Boney was impressed and had his team get in touch with Adnan, who immediately agreed to come on-board”. On a related note, Jhanvi is all prepped up for her Bollywood debut and reportedly, will be launched by Karan Johar.
