I Think Someone With A New Perspective Should Direct It...I'd Definitely Watch It: Shekhar Kapur On Mr India 2

Bollywood Auteur Shekhar Kapur is known to have helmed many great movies such as Bandit Queen, Yuva and Paani. Out of all his directorial ventures, Mr. India has proved to be a venture that has been evergreen and is rejoiced by all generations. The filmmaker was recently asked whether he looks forward to helm the sequel of the 1987 movie.

Kapur was quoted as saying, “I think somebody will make it… Boney Kapoor and Anil Kapoor have been talking about it, and I think there should be a new director who takes a new perspective”. He further stated, “You can’t copy a film, and I have also moved on in life. Though I would love to see one”.

Shekhar Kapur also exhibited his amazement over the people who approach him and pitch him saying that the sequel movie will rake in Rupees 300 crore in just a span of three weeks. He was quoted as saying, “I don’t know how to make a film that lasts three weeks or four weeks. So, I really think somebody else should make it”. The filmmaker is currently busy shooting for the movie ‘Little Dragon’.
