    Himansh Kohli feels playing a chocolate boy on-screen is the safest bet

    Actor Himansh Kohli has no qualms about playing chocolate boy on-screen. The actor says he would do it for his fans that connect well with this image of his. At the same time, the actor shares that he is keen on doing mature roles as well.

    “If the audience loves my chocolate boy image then why should I avoid doing it? I guess that would be my safest bet to receive love from my fans. It also means that I am good at playing such roles. But that doesn’t mean I am going to limit myself. As an actor, I am open to essaying different characters in films,” says Himansh.

    The 28-year-old played a similar character in his debut film Yaariyaan. Talking about it, Himansh says that the film has given him the much required platform to begin his journey in Bollywood. “Yaariyaan was the perfect launchpad. And I really feel lucky that I was chosen for the character of Lakshya,” says the actor adding that he is still in touch with the director of the film, Divya Khosla Kumar.

    “Yaariyaan was my first film and Divya ma’am was my first director. She is someone I look up to for almost everything concerning my career. She has been very supportive and understands me well. In fact, I sometimes feel that I must do at least another film like Yaariyan,” adds Himansh.

    There is a buzz about Divya having plans to direct a film starring Akshay Kumar and on being asked if he is part of the project, Himansh says, “I would love to work with Akshay Kumar. And of course, working with Divya ma’am would be wonderful. I am keeping my fingers crossed.”
