Director-producer Karan Johar turns 44-year-old today and is in London to celebrate his birthday. The popular television host is feeling happy and healthy not only for the special day but also for shedding nine kilos after visiting a spa in Austria. A few days ago, the talented celebrity took to Instagram to post a picture of his new look, which created quite a stir.

The Kuch Kuch Hota Hai director recently confessed about his fondness for Hindi Cinema. During a recent interview, Karan stated, “Movies are a 20-year-old habit. I watch all movies. It is part of the job. Cinema is truly my oxygen. I practically live in my office. I want to make movies right till I die”.

“My passion, unapologetically, is Hindi cinema. With all its mainstream issues, with all its sell-outs sometimes, I breathe and eat Hindi cinema. The only music on my laptop are Hindi film songs”, added KJo.

The Student of the Year maker also revealed that Kabhie Kabhie, Masoom, Do Bigha Zamin, Pyaasa and Mughal-E-Azam are those movies which take him to his comfort zone. “These are films I grew up on and they make me happy. My go-to song is 'Lag jaa gale' from 'Woh Kaun Thi'. I listen to this song at least four times a week. Sometimes I smile while listening to it or sometimes I cry. It depends on my state of mind”.

Desimartini wishes the self-confessed movie buff lots of happy hours on his birthday.
