Holiday 2 On Cards: Akshay Kumar To Reprise His Role

Vipul Shah who produced Akshay Kumar starrer action-thriller ‘Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty’ has revealed his plans of making a sequel of the movie. The duo has collaborated for many films but Holiday has been there greatest hit together. Revealing the plans, Vipul Shah told DNA, “I am already working on a script for Holiday 2”.

He further said that Akshay Kumar will reprise his role from the original. “He will be on another tour of duty this time. We discussed the sequel even before we released Holiday and he was very happy with the idea”, said Shah. Not only the lead actor but Vipul Shah has revealed that he will also retain the director. “AR Murugadoss made the first film for us, which was a huge hit. Obviously, I will first approach him to direct Holiday 2”, he said.

He added that the idea of making a sequel did not flourish after the success of the original film. “We always knew that Holiday would materialise into a franchise when we thought of making the first part. We would have made this regardless of box-office numbers. There are some films you know can be turned into a franchise while there are some which should be allowed to just be. Holiday definitely has the potential to become one. Hence, we are planning Holiday 2 now”, he said.
