Huma Qureshi Unperturbed By Reactions Of Her Upcoming ‘Partition: 1947’

Bollywood diva Huma Qureshi is known for her off-beat roles in movies such as Badlapur, Dedh Ishqiya and D-Day. The actress is all set to star in her upcoming movie ‘Partition: 1947’. There has been a lot of talking going on about the intensity of the upcoming movie.

The Gangs of Wasseypur - Part 2 star seems to be unperturbed by all the talks surrounding the movie and believes that the aim of the movie is to unite everyone. On being asked about the movie, Huma was quoted as saying, “Partition is a very sensitive subject. People will have strong reactions to it. It’s a film about peace, about humanity. It’s intended to unite people rather than divide. Some people want to say something… that’s really their choice”.

The movie has been released overseas titled as ‘Viceroy’s House’. The movie also stars Manish Dayal, late Om Puri, Denzil Smith, Huge Bonneville and Gillian Anderson. ‘Partition: 1947’ is helmed by Gurinder Chadha and is slated to release on August 18.
