I am happy that my son has taken the initiative, says Salim Khan

It was 2008 when the two big guns of Bollywood, Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan last talked to each other. And, after their brawl at Katrinna’s birthday bash (2008), the two stars were recently spotted hugging and exchanging smiles at an Iftaar party. Salim Khan was there too and post the hug Shahrukh even spoke to Salim Khan as usual. But there is still a question in people’s mind that what they saw was really a sign of ‘all is well’ between them or just a shot for shutterbugs.

However, Salman’s father, Salim Khan is pretty happy with the things shaping up between Sallu and SRK. He said,” I am happy that my son has taken the initiative. It was a sensible thing to do and a much-needed gesture and Shah Rukh reciprocated.” But the veteran writer believes that the media is giving an unnecessary attention to their matter as a rivalry between two superstars in Bollywood is quite normal.

Salim feels that even if they hugged and tried to put their differences at a halt, it doesn’t mean that they have started loving each other. He quoted, “Even stars like Raj Kapoor, Dev Anand and Dilip Kumar were just courteous to each other. Salman and Shah Rukh must have decided to be mature and courteous and that is something that must be maintained.”
