I am just a girl, asking a guy to love her: Genelia’s message for Riteish Deshmukh on wedding anniversary deserves hearts

No 90s kids can forget Notting Hill’s iconic scene where Julia Roberts stand in front of Hugh Grant and tells him, “Don’t forget I’m just a girl, standing in front of a boy, asking him to love her.” It seems neither can the adorable couple Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia. As they celebrate their sixth wedding anniversary, this was the message Genelia had for her husband along with a cute picture. “I’m just a girl, standing in front of a guy, asking him to love her.. Will you @Riteishd ...again n again n again???? Happy Anniversary,” she wrote on Twitter.

Riteish replied to his wife with a sweet line from the yesteryear’s romantic number, Tere Chehre Se.

Ritiesh Deshmukh and Genelia made their Bollywood debut together with Tujhe Meri Kasam (2003). The actors got married in 2012 and have two sons together, three-year-old Riaan and one-year-old Rahyl.

Last year, Genelia even gifted a Tesla SUV to Riteish on his birthday. “So the Baiko @geneliad surely knows how to make a 40 yr old birthday boy feel like a 20 yr Old,” the Ek Villian star had shared.

On the work front, Riteish has started working on the third instalment of Dhamaal, Total Dhamaal. The film also stars Ajay Devgn , Madhuri Dixit , Anil Kapoor , Arshad and Jaaved. Slated to release on December 7, it will be jointly produced by Kumar along with Ashok Thakeria and Ajay.
