I don't understand Oscars, says Sunny Deol

The National awards seem to have lost their charm as every Bollywood actor aims for Oscars but Sunny Deol does not believe in the Academy awards and gains satisfaction entertaining the Indian audience.

The Action King of Bollywood said, “I don't think we Indians need to go to the Oscars. What is the need for Indians to go to Oscars... aren't we happy over here. I don't understand Oscars,” in a press meet of his forthcoming romantic comedyI Love New Year(slated for release on April 26) opposite Kangna Ranaut. “I think we have to entertain our audience here first. We have over 130 crore people to entertain here,” added the 56-year-old actor.

Considering audiences’ love as the biggest acknowledgement, the National Award winner forGhayal(1991) andDamini(1994) said, “The love, affection of the audience and their acceptance of actors are the real awards for me.”
