I don’t want to disappoint anyone: Sushant

Even though actor Sushant Singh Rajput only takes on a film if he is a passionate about the role, he also takes into account how his fans would like to see him. The 29-year-old says that he has a very logical process by which he decides whether to take on a project or not.

“Once I read a script, I don’t only look at the genre or the film, I look at how I perceive the story. Once I am clear about that, I give myself logical explanations about why I should take on this role. This is to say that my fans can be assured that every film I do, I am very passionate about it and that I don’t want to disappoint anyone,” says Sushant.

Be it biopics or playing fictional characters, the actor says every role requires the same amount of hard work. “The kind of hard work which goes into developing each and every character is equally complex and needs the same kind of hard work,” he says.

Meanwhile the actor is eagerly looking forward to his upcoming film filmmaker Dibakar Banerjee and feels lucky to be able to have got the chance to work with him. “It is very rare that you find a director who intentionally does not tell you what to do. He gradually tells you what not to do and allows you to think that you are coming up with something on your own. But thorough out the process, he is the master,” he says.
