Reports of actor Chunky Pandey’s daughter Ananya Pandey gearing up for Bollywood have been doing the rounds, and while he doesn’t mind his 18-year-old daughter becoming an actor, there are some pearls of wisdom he would want to give her. “I would like to tell her that it’s important that you don’t imitate anyone else’s success story. You have to make your own story, and I would love to be known as Ananya Pandey’s father,” says Chunky.

The 54-year-old actor had a discussion with Ananya about joining films. “Ananya finished her studies, and a couple of months back, she did tell me that she wants to get into films. Nowadays, you cannot tell your kids what to do. In fact, you have to listen to them. As a parent, give them great education and values and they will decide what to do in life,” says Chunky.

Meanwhile, his voice will be heard in an upcoming animated film, Hanuman Da Damdaar. He has done the voice over for a tourist guide. While Pahlaj Nihalani, the chief of Central Board of Film Certification has raised objection over the language that Hanuman speaks in, Chunky feels that the film should be just understood and enjoyed. “People don’t know that Hanuman ji went to Lanka during his childhood also and he did the same thing, which he did when he had gone as a grown up for Sita ji. There is a message in the film that all should understand. The characters are speaking a modern language, which is entertaining. We want everyone to watch this movie and enjoy it,” he says.
