Imtiaz Ali: “Highway is a relationship film on the roads”

Filmmaker Imtiaz Ali has revealed about his upcoming project Highway and says it is a relationship film on discovery of roads. The maker talks, "`Highway` is a relationship film on the roads. It`s about when you travel you discover more about the place you come from. `Highway` is a discovery like that."

Highway is a romance-drama film and features Randeep Hooda and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles. Imtiaz chose Randeep and Alia over other trained actors like Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Saif Ali Khan, as he feels that they were apt for the characters he had in mind, "Choosing an actor does not depend on my ability to sign a big actor. That would be of no use... a suitable actor is required for every role. I felt that these actors suit my roles and that`s why I chose them." The venture produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, has been given music by A. R. Rahman. UTV Motion Pictures will distribute the film set to release on February21 next year.
