Shah Rukh Khan’s year began with his clash of his film Raees with Hrithik’s Kaabil. Now, his fans would be disappointed to know that his next untitled movie with Anushka Sharma will clash with Akshay’s ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’. SRK’s upcoming movie which is directed by Imtiaz Ali is slated to release on August 11. And now we hear that Akshay's movie, directed by Shree Narayan Singh, which was expected to hit the screens on June 2 will release on the same date as King Khan’s movie.

"We had announced Akshay-starrer Crack for August 11, 2017. Due to a few production reasons, the film took longer than expected to go on floors. In the meantime, we had starting shooting Toilet. Initially, we thought of releasing the film on June 2, but the film's subject is such that taking it to theatres closer to Independence Day makes more sense. The film is a satire on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and has a nationalistic feel to it. It has to be pitched on the right day. We aren't clashing just for the sake of it," said Prerna Arora who has produced Akki’s film.

While SRK’s film with Anushka will be a love story, Akshay’s will be an unusual love story where a couple cannot live together because their house doesn't have a toilet. Akki will be paired with Bhumi Padnekar for the first time. Both Akshay and SRK are among the A-listers but let’s see who will be the winner at the box office.
