Indian animated films Delhi Safari and Hey Krishna submitted for 2013 Oscar race

Two 3D animated movies from India, including Vikram Veturi’sHey Krishnaand Nikhil Advani’sDelhi Safari, have been submitted for next year’s prestigious Oscar race. Both the films have been submitted for short listing for Best Animated Feature Film category. The two Indian movies will compete with 19 other animation feature films to enter the final nomination list.

Among other animation films that have been submitted for the 85th Academy Awards areWreck-It, Ralph, Brave, Madagascar 3, Adventures in Zambezia, Dr Seuss’ The Lorax, Frankenweenie, From Up on Poppy Hill, Hotel Transylvania, Ice Age Continental Drift. The list of final nominations will be declared on January 10. The 85th Academy Awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on February 24.
