    ‘Hindi Medium’ is an upcoming flick starring Irrfan Khan and Pakistani actress Saba Qamar. In this time of sensitivity towards the origins of actors, Irrfan feels lucky that his film will be making its way to theatres without any controversy. In a recent interview with IANS, the actor spoke about the industry as well as shared his thoughts on other aspects of the society.

    Remembering ‘Billu’, Irrfan said that the environment is such that anything can happen at any time. “The environment has become such that anything can happen any time. I remember at the time of "Billu", something had happened over a word. So, you always feel lucky when there's no controversy”, he added. ‘Billu’ was initially titled ‘Billu Barber’ but because of the issues raised by the Hairdressers' Associations of Mumbai, the word ‘barber’ was removed.

    Talking about how sometimes, the statements of actors gets turned into something they did not mean, Irrfan said that it is very unfortunate they don’t have a platform where they can say anything. The Inferno actor also shared his thoughts on the Indian education system and said that kids nowadays are “being raised keeping in mind what they will do when they grow up”. “Nobody is exploring their interests or personality”, he added.

    ‘Hindi Medium’ will be releasing on May 19 alongside Mohit Suri’s ‘Half Girlfriend’.
