Irrfan Khan’s Hindi Medium Sequel To Go On Floors Soon

Latest news reveals that Irrfan Khan starrer Hindi Medium is all set to have a sequel. After winning a couple of awards for the film like Best Actor Award and the Best Film award at a popular award ceremony, the sequel of the flick is nearly ready to go on floors in August this year. The first film has been directed by Saket Chaudhary.

Chaudhary had earlier helmed films like Pyaar Ke Side Effects and Shaadi Ke Side Effects. Moreover, talking about the sequel, producer Bhushan Kumar said, “The script is ready and we are starting pre-production of the film. Hindi Medium was my first award as a producer. People loved the film and Irrfan is also ready. We will be going on the floors once the preparatory work is complete”.

A source close to the development has revealed that the story flash-forwards by a decade and Pia will be in her teens now, around 15-16 years. Moreover, the sequel will not have Saket Chaudhary as its director. The story will be a fresh take on the Indian educational system having a little reference to the original.
