Irrfan Khan will be seen in an Indo-Bangladesh co-production drama film ‘Doob: No Bed Of Roses’. The movie was earlier banned by the Bangladesh Censor Board as it was based on Bangladeshi writer and filmmaker Humayun Ahmed. However, now we have heard that the flick will be issued a censor certificate by the Bangladesh Censor Board.

The movie which is written and directed by Bangladeshi filmmaker Mostofa Sarwar Farooki revolves around the story of two people who belong to different families. They fall in love with each other after the head of one of the families dies. It’s a story about love, fallout and reunion.

“We all have been waiting for this for tad too long. The first few screenings at the festivals’ competition went well and it brought an independent jury award from Moscow. The reviews from top critics of Variety, Hollywood Reporter and Screen were highly inspiring,” Sarwar Farooki said. The director got worried when the censor did not issue it a certificate. But, he is relieved that they have finally cleared it.

‘Doob: No Bed Of Roses’ is jointly produced by Jazz Multimedia and Irrfan Khan Films. Apart from Irrfan Khan, it also stars Nusrat Imrose Tisha, Rokeya Prachy and Parno Mittra. It was also premiered at the Shanghai Film Festival. The movie was honoured with prominent Kommersant award when it was screened at the 39th Moscow International Film Festival.
