Probably the standout performance in this year’s highest earning film ‘Baby’, Taapsee Pannu has opened her thoughts about surviving in the industry. The cute little actress who made it through big with David Dhawan’s Chashme Baddoor, says that Hindi Film Industry is not an easy place for outsiders to break into.

Talking about how she feels her survival has carried and the complexity of the industry, the actress told to The Hindu, “It is a very difficult place. The competition is so on your face that it takes strength to shut your eyes to it and just do your work. Sometimes you get put down by some random comment or by people who look down at you. It is hard to live in it and difficult to live out of it.”

Taapsee, who was recently in news to be in contention to bag the role of Aamir Khan’s daughter in Dangal will now be seen in Running Shaadi.com next. She is paired opposite actor Amit Sadh. Talking about her character and the film, the actress added “I play a very unpredictable small town Amritsar girl. The casting director knew that I was a sardarni. They wanted someone who was natural in the role. Director Amit Roy offered me the role the moment I started speaking in Hindi because I have the lingo right as I grew up in Delhi.”
