It is sad that an actor's personal life is out there: Sooraj Pancholi

Link-ups are part and parcel of an actor’s life. In some cases, such rumours turn out to be true and some, end up being speculative reports. Ask Sooraj Pancholi if he was always prepared to deal with the peripheral that comes with the life of an actor, and he says, “Ninety per cent of them (rumours) are true. It is sad that an actor’s personal life is out there. But it comes with the job. People want to know about you and people love talking about you.”

Recounting a time he was subject to such speculation, he says, “So once I was out with my cousin and someone printed that I was spotted with a girl. I wrote to those people on Twitter saying that it was not right and they should at least verify facts as I was with my sister. But I let it go.”

Elaborating on his equation with his sibling Sana Pancholi, Sooraj says his sister is his biggest supporter in life. “She is four years older than I am. I still treat her like my younger sister. She knows everything about my life. Even if I like a girl, she would be the first person I would confide in. But she would never tell me about her boyfriends, because she is scared that I will fight with them,” he quips. When asked if Sana harbours showbiz dreams, Sooraj says, “She is into the restaurant business.”

The actor, who was last seen in Hero, will next be seen in a Remo D’Souza project.
