It Was Different Experience To Portray Paan Singh Dhoni: Anupam Kher

If there is one complete actor, one has to take the name of veteran Anupam Kher for sure. Portraying characters of diversified nature and making debut with a classic Saaransh, he doesn’t have to prove much. We have seen all shades in Anupam, be it whimsical, comedic, and intense or you name it, he has justified his each role.

Now, fans will admire him in the role of India’s most successful captain, M.S. Dhoni’s father, Paan Singh Dhoni. The lead character is played by Sushant Singh Rajput and the movie is set to hit cinemas on September 30. Speaking about his role in biopic, he said, “Yes, Neeraj is a big reason. Also, though I have played a father on screen umpteen times, this time the challenge was to essay the role of an ordinary, simple man”.

Anupam went on, “Not much is known about Pan Singh. So, it was interesting for me to enact him on screen. At an emotional level, it was important for me that he likes my portrayal in the film. When I met him and told him that I would be playing his character, he said, "Agar aap kar rahe ho, toh mujhe koi tension nahin hai (I’ve not tension if you are playing my character)." He called the whole experience enriching and loved being part of the movie.
