Its raining money for Akshay's Rowdy Rathore at BO even in second week

Despite film critics dismissed Khiladi Akshay Kumar's latest release Rowdy Rathore by declaring it a mindless movie which has nothing new to offer, the Prabhu Deva-directed film has not only received a massive opening at the box office but is also set to enter the elite Rs 100-crore club. It seems that the Rowdy actors stars are shining very bright these days, as just a few months ago his comedy-drama Housefull 2 had also done a business of over Rs 100 crores. The remake of Telugu super hit Vikramarkudu, with which Akshay has returned to the action genre after a long gap, had generated Rs 15.1 crores net on the very first day. The film starring Sonakshi Sinha opposite Akshay and made on a budget of Rs 45 crores has collected over 48 crores in the first weekend. Though, the business of Rowdy Rathore went down drastically by almost 40% to 50%, during the weekdays (Rs 9.5 crores on Monday and Rs 8.12 crores on Tuesday), its still very high as compared to other big releases. According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, "It's cloudy. Seems like it will rain today! Rains or no rains, but it seems like its raining money for #RowdyRathore at BO. Tuesday biz slightly lower than Monday. Setting new records!" The film has so far garnered Rs 65.92 crores at the box office, apart from the music, video and telecast rights and it is likely to cross the 100 crores mark by the next weekend.
