It’s time for Aurangzeb vs I Don’t Love U at this weekend’s box-office

    It’s time for Aurangzeb vs I Don’t Love U at this weekend’s box-office

The Bollywood box-office is awaiting two releases this Friday, the mafia thriller Aurangzeb by Atul Sabharwal and a story on MMS scandal, I Don’t Love U by Amit Kasaria. The ongoing buzz at the trade world suggests Arjun Kapoor’s Aurangzeb is expected to excel over relatively less-significant I Don’t Love U.

While Aurangzeb has Arjun Kapoor in a double role along with an ensemble cast of Rishi Kapoor, Jackie Shroff and Prithviraj, I Don’t Love U features Ruslaan Mumtaz and lesser popular faces like Chetna Pandey and Murli Sharma. ‘Kingship knows no kinship’ and ‘there can be only one emperor’ is what the storyline of Aurangzeb follows while I don’t Love U will relate with contemporary youths, especially college going students who have been quite casual about their relationships these days. The two film’s target audience is entirely different, though the trade numbers at the box-office look quite predictable, according to the trade analysts.

As told by trade expert Akshaye Rathi, “Yash Raj Films is back with a slick action thriller – Aurangzeb - after a long gap of six months (after Jab Tak Hai Jaan; Mere Dad Ki Maruti was produced by Y Films). And with the kind of buzz it’s creating and considering the appeal it has with a fairly wide audience base, it has fabulous prospects at the box office!” Rajesh Thadani, distributor of Multimedia Combines, repeated almost the same words, “Aurangzeb looks interesting, with a unique star cast, and I hope it will stand out. Considering Arjun Kapoor will be seen in a double role, expectations are quite high from this action thriller. Arjun’s debut film,Ishaqzaadedid well at the box office, and now since Arjun has become a popular actor and carved a niche for himself,Aurangzebshould take a good opening. Unfortunately,I Don’t Luv Uhas a very low appeal and will witness a slow start.” Now let’s check out for the real box-office collections once the movies get released tomorrow.
