It’s time for experimentation for Abbas Mustan

Baazigar, Khiladi, Aitraaz, Race, Humraaz, you name a Bollywood successful thriller and it is directed by Abbas Mustan. The super successful filmmaker duo who have embraced the audiences with so many suspense and thriller films are now looking for a makeover.

The duo is apparently planning to shift genre and try on something like a comedy or romance. "Thriller films have made us what we are today. We are thankful to audience for the love and acceptance to our films. Such films should be gripping. People should get excited to see what is going to happen next. It is important for the audience to understand and connect with the flow of the film, But now we would like to experiment with different genre like romance, comedy etc," said the filmmakers with a plan in prospect. However they have directed a relatively modern family drama Chori Chori Chupke Chupke long time back with Salman Khan, Rani Mukerji and Preity Zinta in the lead but the film couldn’t really get its due because of the controversies it was associated with.

Both of them made it clear that they are not going to be making any sex comedies and that they have a project with Big B in hand which is a thriller. Their project with Saif Ali Khan is looking very uncertain. "No sex comedy films for us. We want to make clean films. We want to make family entertainer films. We cannot comment on other films (sex comedies) which are being made, There is a murder mystery with Mr Bachchan, no Saif film as of now, and then there are a couple of other projects that are in planning stage," said the duo. Well all we can do at this stage is wish them all the luck and hope they find success in the genres they try and explore.
