Jackie Chan’s Kung Fu Yoga To Compete With Raees And Kaabil

With Raees and Kaabil already set to lock horns on January 25, there is another big movie that has jumped into the fray, Kung Fu Yoga. The flick’s recent promos revealed that the movie will hit Indian cinemas on January 28, however, many experts believe that the date may be preponed to tap into the advantage of long weekend.

There is also a strong possibility that the international star Jackie Chan will be coming to India to promote the flick in mid-January. It only makes sense, as there are three big Indian stars (Sonu Sood, Disha Patani and Amyra Dastur) in this Mandarin-English flick.

However, the real challenge for KFY is to get the right number of screens. “For the distributors would be to figure out how to accommodate Kung Fu Yoga alongside Raees and Kaabil, if at all KFY were to release on the Republic Day weekend itself,” said an expert. He added that if the makers decide to release the flick on the same date, 500 screens would be a good enough number to salvage.
