Director Ribhu Dasgupta is planning a Hindi remake of the 2016 Hollywood movie The Girl on the Train. Directed by Tate Taylor, the film starred Emily Blunt as an alcohol addicted divorced woman who was nominated for Oscars for her incredible performance. Actress Jacqueline Fernandez has been approached to reprise Emily’s role in the Hindi version.

“The director, Ribhu Dasgupta, will take Jacqueline through the paces. He will visit rehabilitation centres with her, so that she can study firsthand how individuals struggling with alcoholism on the wagon behave. This role will give her the opportunity to prove herself,” revealed a source.

It is believed that the role might be a turning point in Jackie’s career. Jacqueline was last seen in Judwaa 2 alongside Taapsee Pannu and Varun Dhawan which was a blockbuster hit.
